I think we have all been there at some point. I know that for me if I am lazy one week and my traffic stats go down, if I advertise on a few of my favorite Traffic Exchanges then my traffic always picks back up. I realize that some of you may have google adsense on your site, but if that is the case you can still create a splash page that you can advertise on the traffic exchanges.
